ASA Macquarie is a student run society dedicated to Macquarie University accounting students.
Accounting Students Association (ASA) was founded in July 2010 with a focus on providing workshops, seminars and connections with the Accounting Department and professional accounting bodies for Macquarie University accounting students in order to improve their personal qualities and achieve their prospective career objectives.
ASA began as a team of seven executives and started its marketing in the Diversity Week of August 2010. In the same semester, ASA began its tradition of inviting graduates from major accounting firms to share their experience and also provided the first QuickBooks/MYOB Workshops its the members. ASA also took the initiative to build up its connection with CPA and the Department of Accounting and Corporate Governance.
The Macquarie Accounting Students Association (ASA) is one of Macquarie University’s largest student associations, in operation since July 2010. ASA focuses on

- Communicating with professional institutions
- Engaging with the needs of our members
- Strengthening the professional profile of ASA
